Santiago's New Mexican Grill

This is truly authentic New Mexican food. The service was excellent and friendly. Perfect hole in the wall place with great food and great people! We will be back!

Found this little hidden gem because we wanted to try something new. Boy did it deliver! It is at the end of an unassuming strip mall, right next to U-Haul so if you're not looking, you'll drive right past like we have a hundred times. The menu is simple New Mexican food done well: enchiladas, tamales, burritos, burgers, etc as well as daily breakfast and lunch specials. The green chile is roasted daily by the owner and SO delicious. Everything is hand made to order but it's no slower than any other restaurant and arrives hot! While you order at the counter and the food is brought to you, the staff was very attentive and kind. The interior is clean but nothing special; I guess the effort goes into the service and food! Sadly, the road construction is cutting into their business because access is terrible but they are hanging in there. Since they've been around since the 80's, I suspect they make it through this hiccup. Do them a favor and give them your business. You won't regret it.

Are you looking for a solid green Chile cheeseburger in ABQ that isn't going to leave your wallet hurting while also leaving your stomach still hungry? Then step right into Santiago's! I only came for their double green Chile cheeseburger and boy did they deliver. No one really talks much about this place. It is a hole in the wall. Private parking available outside. They also have weird hours, so please be sure to check the hours before you arrive. 110% order the green Chile cheeseburger - make it a double and you won't regret it.

This place is amazing. Food is nice and hot service is impeccable. Ladies here are always smiling really feel like family vibes. They also do catering so if you guys need food come to Santiago's Mexican restaurant and get your catering done.

Had their breakfast special this morning, a burrito with egg, hash browns, cheese and carne adovado all smothered with gravy, red and green chili. Simple but so delicious, the service was amazing. Thank you Santiago's I will definitely be back!!!

So this is a real mom and pop place. Does not stand out at all. OMG they serve spam here, that is a major plus. You order at a little window when you walk in. Then menus are on paper. They do not come to your table to take your order Have to say the food is amazing here. The food is made fresh. The owner takes pride in the food So maybe a little in the greasy side but great flavor. Inside is nothing special as it is a very plain location

I've eaten here several times and this place is truly a hidden gem in a little strip mall on Eubank in Albuquerque. Their green chile cheese burger is the best. I find that it rivals the famous Luguna Burger and others in the state. I highly recommend getting the fries with the burger as they are fantastic. They should teach McDonald's how to cook fries. The service is phenomenal. My drink glass never got empty. The place was clean and tended to regularly. Little information-- when you come in, go to the counter to order, instead of waiting for someone to take your order. HAVE A SEAT AND ENJOY!!

It's crazy to think that I've lived so close to Santiago's and only recently went for the first time. It's totally your typical New Mexican hole in the wall in the best way. You can tell it ran and just has a very casual atmosphere. They have all of the essentials including green chile cheeseburgers, and great breakfast burritos. The price for a green chile cheeseburger combo was about $16 which feels a little high but so does everything else these days. Definitely way better quality than going through a drive-through somewhere. Service was fast and friendly, again they definitely have that at home feel.
